About this Event
We’re excited for you to attend THE NEW EAP TRAINING, a modern, interactive program designed to help leaders and supervisors confidently recognize, document, and respond to potential impairment in the workplace — while protecting safety, dignity, and trust across the organization.
This training goes far beyond traditional compliance. Participants will learn how to apply legally aligned policies with empathy, reduce stigma, and support employees through recovery-ready communication and clear procedures.
During this session, we will cover:
- Legal & Fiduciary Responsibilities every employer must understand, including key federal and North Carolina laws.
- How to recognize and document observable signs of impairment — without diagnosing or making assumptions.
- A clear, step-by-step process for reasonable suspicion response, from ensuring safety to involving HR and maintaining confidentiality.
- Techniques for applying policy with empathy, neutrality, and consistency, rooted in Recovery-Ready Workplace (RRW) principles.
- How to help build a recovery informed culture that reduces stigma and strengthens early help seeking.
- A 30/60/90-day roadmap for implementing sustainable systems and culture changes.
Training Format
This session includes:
- Interactive discussion
- Scenario-based exercises
- Case studies and practical examples
