Join me at the Milanof-Schock Public Library in Mount Joy for an exciting double-header event on Monday, April 18, 2022. It's the launch date of my newest adventure: Milanof-Schock Library's Book of Secrets. At 6 pm, I will be recounting my expeditions down the lower Susquehanna to explore the mysterious Native American petroglyphs hidden on the ancient river at Safe Harbor. These 1,000 years old rock carvings represent the oldest man-made artifacts in Lancaster County and one of the most significant archeological sites in the northeastern United States. I will discuss their significance, possible meanings, and share some local legends surrounding the pictographs.
