Absynthe Makes the Art Garfunkel (AMTAG) is a tribute band from Atlanta, GA that has been faithfully and energetically performing the music of Simon & Garfunkel, as well as solo Paul Simon, for over 14 years. From the classics of old to the present day releases, AMTAG infuses each show with the perfect mix of old and new; of dancing and reflecting; of driving rock with full band and plaintive solo guitar with two close harmonies. AMTAG often performs album tributes every year, with past albums including the classic 1966 Simon and Garfunkel album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme; the essential 1986 Paul Simon album, Graceland; the seminal 1970 album Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and (a band favorite) the brilliant 1973 album There Goes Rhymin' Simon. With 14 years of performing this music under their belt, AMTAG has covered a lot of repertoire, and made many songs feel like second nature to them.
