About this Event
Anni-Frid Lyngstad used the initials of the band members' first names to create the palindrome ABBA. Under this name, the band became a pop supergroup. Even though ABBA disbanded in 1982, the group's music continues to live on in compilation albums, the wildly successful musical and movie Mamma Mia!, and even as a reunited group in 2016 with a new album released in 2021. But little of that history matters because ABBA’s music is what keeps toes tapping, ear worms “worming”, and karaoke machines humming. "SOS"; "I Do, I Do, I Do"; "Mamma Mia"; "Dancing Queen"; "Knowing Me, Knowing You"; "Take a Chance on Me" ... see! You’re humming the tunes already! Join us as our talented local band of instrumentalists, soloists, and Peterborough Singers get you dancing in the aisles and singing along to the music of ABBA.
Featuring: Barry Haggarty (guitar), Andrew Affleck (bass), Curtis Cronkwright (drums), Alexia Preston (piano)
Concert sponsor: David Goyette
