2-Day Schools MTB Stage Race | Trail Run | Walk
Introducing a brand-new addition to the Cradle Mountain Trophy weekend, The Mountain Trophy Adventure, a dedicated 2-day schools stage race and one of the first events of its kind in Gauteng.
Taking place on 3–4 October 2026 at Valley Lodge & Spa, Magaliesburg, young riders will take on two exciting MTB stages in the beautiful Magaliesberg as part of the broader Cradle Mountain Trophy experience.
Schools MTB Stage Race:
Saturday: 15km MTB Time Trial
Sunday: 20km for U14 riders
Sunday: 45km for U16 & U19 riders
There will also be Trail Run / Walk options for families, supporters and outdoor lovers.
Trail Run / Walk:
5km, 10km and 15km
Expect flowing single-track, technical sections, scenic routes, water tables, medals, great race energy and a fun weekend out as part of the Cradle Mountain Trophy.
There is also R6 000 in prize money up for grabs in the 15km trail run, with the male and female winners each taking home R1 500.
