Join Shannon Nering for an intimate evening of conversation exploring healing, motherhood, and transformation, inspired by her new memoir The Mother Vine: How I Healed My Heart with Ayahuasca.

Drawing from her deeply personal journey, Nering will reflect on the path that led her from a fast-paced career in television to a radically different life on the island of Kauai. What began as a search for peace and simplicity soon became something far more demanding, as her marriage, identity, and sense of control began to unravel. Along the way, she was drawn into working with ayahuasca, often called the vine of the soul, entering a process that would profoundly reshape her understanding of healing, family, and herself.

In this evening gathering, Shannon will share stories and insights from that experience, opening a space for reflection on the many forms healing can take. With honesty and emotional depth, she explores how transformation unfolds not only through ceremony and spiritual practice, but within the everyday terrain of partnership, parenting, and inner reckoning. At its heart, this is a conversation about becoming whole and recognizing that some of our most important teachers are found in the lives we are already living.

Shannon Nering is a former CBC host and television producer and director, with a career spanning newsrooms in Calgary and reality television in Los Angeles and Vancouver. She is now a holistic nutritionist and founder of Glo Well, where she supports women through cleanses, retreats, and transformational wellness experiences. A Canadian at heart, she lives with her family on the North Shore of Kauai.
