Leila’s Dream are a psychedelic prog-folk outfit formed in Manchester in 2023 boasting impressive dynamic range. From quiet intimacy in acoustic folk ballads to raucous cacophonies of noise, the band’s arsenal is equipped with myriad sounds. The group take great inspiration from bands such as Spirogyra, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Mount Eerie among many other artists. On this occasion, Leila’s Dream will be appearing as a 4 piece for the first time; presenting a more stripped-back, folksy sound with a rare appearance of woodwind instrumentation as well as violin and harmonium. The selection of songs on display focus sonically on repetitive psychedelia paired with lyrical observations on change, death and acceptance.
Over the course of the past few years, popstar-in-waiting Olivia Browse has been making an impact on the North West music scene with a genre-bending collection of releases. Based in Manchester, her infectious bubblegum-pop sound has been integral to her success, and her ability to incorporate different genres and influences into her music has truly set her apart from the rest.Taking inspiration from a wide variety of artists, ranging from singer-songwriters such as Stella Donnelly and Kate Nash, to Britpop bands such as Pulp and The Smiths; even to modern pop artists like Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama, her music encompasses a vast range of inspiration in order to create something that is truly unique and true to Olivia’s style.
Jake is a London-born singer songwriter blending genres of Folk & Blues with urban rhythms and lyrical approaches. Massively influenced by The Beatles, Don Mclean & Paul Simon. A melting pot of different music, always trying something new.
Full of grit and glow, Beth Jackson can only be described as a Sydney kid raised on Paul Kelly and folk festivals, who carved out their sound whilst discovering telecasters, big feelings and reverb pedals. If swirly guitars, lyrics that hit you in the chest and a laugh is your thing, Beth Jackson and the band could be one for you.
Essex-born, Manchester-based, and recording in what can at best be described as a home studio in a random Yorkshire village, Lily Haylett’s writing commits to intensely real depiction of our society; celebrating the beauty whilst expressing the honest truths of grief, injustice, heartbreak and anger.
Due to such a raw and authentic process, Lily’s upcoming EP has been her most gratifying release, with powerful stacked harmonies, grungy guitars, and raw, 90s- leaning progressions of bands such as Soundgarden and The Smashing Pumpkins. A fiercely feminine artist, Lily pairs together Phoebe Bridgers’ intimacy, Wolf Alice’s energy and Yebba’s dynamic touch to produce a unique sound of fiery emotion.
Hailing from the North-West of England, michael webster is a singer-songwriter inspired by a multitude of artists, ranging from the folk legends such as Bob Dylan and Neil Young, to 90’s alternative like Pixies and Nirvana, to modern-day singer-songwriters such as Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile and Phoebe Bridgers.
His unique guitar playing style, combined with lyrical imagery makes for relatable songs that pertain to various modern-day topics, including politics, society, love and rejection.
