The Mongos with Anna Kimm

The Mongos are a Charlotte, NC based indie rock trio formed with Chris Vercauteren on guitar, Connor Molloy on drums, and Taylor West on bass guitar. Their name, like many great things, came by accident which pays tribute to a mispronunciation of the late “Mangos” Caribbean restaurant of the North Davidson (NoDa) historic arts district - just north of uptown Charlotte.

The band released their debut self-titled EP in November of 2019 and since their inception in late 2018, they have been actively performing shows throughout various Charlotte venues.

Anna Kimm (Band)

Anna Kimm, a Charlotte-based solo artist, combines classic pop sounds with a new age alternative twist. Her sound has been in the making since the age of 8, when Anna’s parents gave her a Baby Taylor guitar. Anna was raised in Salisbury, NC by a family with music in their DNA. Taking after her father as both a vocalist and guitarist with a passion for timeless music, Anna began writing music in college with her brother Liam. Her love for singing paired with Liam’s knack for writing has produced complex lyrics and messages conveyed through an effortless and soothing sound. Anna and Liam released three singles in 2017 under the group name New Hope’s Jet Stream and now perform as solo artists, but continue to write and produce music together. Anna began a career in public health but recently left to pursue her dream of making music her livelihood. With music as her full-time focus, she has spent her time curating an EP set to be released in early 2023.
