The Miracle of Laughter

Spend the Lord’s Day at Gertie for an afternoon of screenings and conversation looking at the oft unspoken overlaps between what is holy and what is humorous. Featuring a series of films, among them The Holy Artwork, by Christian Jankowski that deal head on with the thorny relationship between a holy trinity we can get behind: God, Art, and Laughter.

The screenings will be followed by a discussion framing the idea of laughter itself as being a modest miracle in its own right, aleatory, unexpected, and liberating of heretofore unimagined possibilities.
