We are pleased to invite you to the lecture by a GM Ilan Manor, an acclaimed chess player and a specialist in psychology and psychoteraphy! ♟️
The lecture will at first deal with the interaction between chess and psychology and especially how mental aspects influence the chess player. In the theoretical part, the aspects of cognitive psychology like cognitive flexbility, solving problems and decision making under conditions of uncertainty will be discussed. Finally, the lecture will cover the topic of the emotions in chess, focusing on the way how the chess player can manage them, especially while dealing with mistakes, losses and failure. The lecture will use examples in chess to illustrate the ideas.
