What the heck is HOTDOG HOTDOG???
"Step into the steam and sizzle of HOTDOG HOTDOG 4D—an all-senses, all-beef, audiovisual takeover that could only happen in Chicago. Smell the mustard. Hear the snap. Feel the bass rattle your buns. From the Loop to Logan Square, this is a night for anyone who knows there’s no ketchup in art.
This is no ordinary show—it’s a fully-loaded 4D experience where you can see, taste, smell, and hear the humble hot dog in glorious, ridiculous excess. Digitally rendered dogs—created by slinging real glizzies at high-speed cinema cameras—collide with live performances by Chicago's best musicians and comedians. Each act remixes the visuals in real time, turning every bite and beat into a one-of-a-kind sensory feast."

Joel Ruby aka hotdog hotdog is a multimedia technician, designer, and director driven by a deep love for all things camera and computer. After traversing much of North America as a documentary filmmaker, his current work lives at the intersection of traditional video production and audio-reactive live visuals. Blending cinema cameras, Final Cut Pro, and TouchDesigner, Joel creates dynamic, high-energy visuals designed to amplify and elevate live music experiences.
As usual we always want to hear from you fine folks. Bring your projects to show off, tell us about shows your playing, built a new synth or module? We wanna see it!

Table space may become limited.
If you have a large setup to accommodate give us a heads up in advance, otherwise first come first serve.
Please bring your own headphones to demo synths with as opposed to monitors, We'll have a PA/Mixer setup if anyone wants to demonstrate anything to the whole group.
We'll also have a projector/hdmi mixer running if anyone has visual equipment to demo.
