The Miles Ahead Mile Project — an 8-Week Track Program Benefiting The Busyhead Project
Joe Moakley Park | South Boston June 3rd– July 29th| Every Other Wednesday, 6:30–7:30pm
Today's running culture focuses heavily on the marathon.
This summer, Miles Ahead is making a case that there's something worth chasing at the other end of the distance spectrum.
The mile.
Four laps. No gels, no wall, no six-month training cycle. Just you, a track, and several minutes of finding out exactly what you're capable of.
Join Miles Ahead and a small group of runners this summer as they work together to push themselves to their fastest mile yet!
Here's how it works:
Over 8 weeks, we'll meet five times at the Moakley Park track for focused, mile-specific workouts. We open on June 3rd with a one mile time trial, and we close on July 29th with another one to see your progress. Every-other Wednesday in between, we will meet up as a group to perform a mile specific track workout.
Sessions run 6:30–7:30pm. Between meetups, you'll get simple programming to keep the training moving on your own.
Dates: 6/3, 6/17, 7/1, 7/15, 7/29. All at 6:30pm at the Moakley Track.
About your coach:

Every dollar goes directly to charity.
About The Busyhead Project: The Busyhead Project is a 501(c)(3) mental health nonprofit founded by Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, named after his 2019 debut album. Launched in 2023 and inspired by Kahan's own experiences with anxiety and depression, the foundation has raised over $6.6 million to support more than 170 community-based mental health organizations around the world. Its mission is simple: end the stigma around mental health and make mental healthcare accessible for all. Learn more at busyheadproject.org.
