Mike Keneally is one of the most respected and versatile guitarists and composers in progressive music. Renowned for his work with Frank Zappa, as well as collaborations with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Devin Townsend, his career spans decades of genre-defying creativity. As a solo artist, Keneally is celebrated for his boundless musicality, seamlessly blending complex compositions with improvisation, humour, and spontaneity. His live performances are as unpredictable as they are virtuosic, shifting from intricate, high-energy passages to intimate, expressive moments that showcase his deep musical range.
Joining him is Dave Cureton, a dynamic and expressive guitarist and founder member of IO Earth, whose solo work blends melodic sophistication with fearless improvisation, earning him a growing reputation on the progressive music circuit. His solo material showcases his distinctive voice most clearly, fusing intricate composition with raw, electrifying energy. He has performed internationally at events such as Cruise to the Edge and ProgStock, as well as festivals across Norway and the Netherlands, and has opened for The Winery Dogs. His live shows are explosive, technically dazzling, and emotionally charged, leaving a lasting impact on audiences.
Together, this special double headline show promises an unforgettable night of boundary-pushing guitar mastery and high-energy performances.
Dave Cureton: “I’m really looking forward to this tour, it’s going to be an absolute blast. It all feels a bit surreal, especially considering I first met Mike when I was 21 at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall. I was proudly wearing my Mike Keneally T-shirt while he was on tour with Steve Vai, so to now be heading out on tour with him really brings things full circle. I’ve been a big admirer of Mike’s for years, so I can’t wait to hit the stage with him. We’re putting the guitar front and centre, and who knows… there might even be some seriously fun jamming along the way.

Mike Keneally: “It's been forever - well, thirteen years, actually - since I toured the UK with a band of my own, and I always love coming to the Netherlands. I'm delighted to show off my "European trio" the Mike Keneally Report to some new audiences - we've only played in Germany and Finland before now. Dave Cureton is a fantastic player and a great friend - I've loved sitting in with him at the ProgStock Festival the last couple of years, and we will definitely be doing some playing together on these dates!”
