Join us for the Rhode Island premiere of Shelagh Stephenson’s The Memory of Water — a funny, heartfelt, and sharply observed exploration of grief, memory, and the complicated bonds between sisters.
When three estranged siblings reunite for their mother’s funeral, what begins as a somber occasion unravels into a night of clashing memories, shared secrets, buried trauma, and unexpected hilarity. Set in one room over the course of one chaotic evening, this Olivier Award-winning play beautifully captures how we remember — and misremember — the past.
