Join the Medieval Museum on a city walk and discover the early history of Stockholm.
Along the narrow streets of the Gamla stan Town — on the facades and among the cobblestones — we find clues to life in medieval Stockholm. During our walk, we will hear about the city’s residents and temporary visitors, with stories of everyday life, festivities, piety, and merciless punishment.
The tour ends with a visit to the Blackfriars’ Cellar, where miracles are said to have happened.
You need to buy a ticket to this program:
Adults, SEK 150
Children/young people under 19 years, SEK 75
Accessibility is limited due to inclines and cobblestone streets.
The meeting point is stated on the ticket.
Picture: Detail from the Vädersolstavlan (The Sun Dog Painting), the oldest known depiction of Stockholm. The original from 1535 is attributed to Urban Målare.
