"Welcome to the Maybe Band, a popular group of young musicians based in and around Penrith, playing anything from rock and roll all the way to modern hits and indie rock classics (even including some of their own original material), famous for always making sure to keep it upbeat and energy packed for all of their live performances.
After the 5 of us met in our local school, brought together by our love of music and anything creative, the decision was made to form a simple and fun garage band. This quickly snowballed into becoming a local sensation playing multiple local events, (including, but not limited to): The Brickyard in Carlisle, The Penrith Winter Droving and May Day, The Feel Good Festival in Glassonby (no not Glastonbury but close enough if you ask us…), Kendal Ski Clubs’ end of season party (and multiple events associated with the Ski Club), multiple events in our college and our very own sell out independent performance in Skeltons’ village hall pulling in over 150 people and filling the venue. We also have multiple gigs up and coming this and next year!
We are also thrilled to announce we will be supported by the amazing cassette baby as we return to the brickyard.
Cassette Baby are a three piece band from the Lake District. An original band who also put a spin on classic records from the 60's and 70's with a unique sound blending clawhammer fingerpicking , luscious bass lines and a constant groovy backbeat. They have gained a following around the Lake District with their live performances."
