About this Event
(NOTE: Doors open for networking / light refreshments at 8 a.m. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.)
Massachusetts’ opioid crisis continues, with a record number of deaths in 2022 (over 1,700) and a similar level of fatalities last year. The introduction of potent synthetic opioids requiring immediate overdose response has transformed the profile of “first responders” on the frontlines of the crisis, encompassing not just law enforcement and health care professionals, but friends, families, and everyday citizens.
With the challenges of opioid addiction spreading into everyday lives, those on the frontlines of this crisis need every tool in the toolbox to fight overdoses. Join law enforcement, advocates, and others working to address this crisis for an important exchange on the evolving challenges surfacing in the opioid epidemic and discussion on viable solutions to save lives.
