What if the emotion you’re trying to perform already lives in your body — and sound is the key to accessing it?
*The Mask & The Voice* is a 3-hour immersive workshop for actors, performers & voice artists exploring how sound shapes emotion, presence, and performance.
Through breath, vibration, and the seven ancient notes — *Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni* — you’ll discover how different sounds activate different emotional states in the body, transforming the way you speak a scene without changing a single word.
Rooted in the *Natyashastra*, Nada Yoga, and classical vocal practice, this is not a music class. No singing experience needed. Just a willingness to listen inward.
What you’ll explore:
↳ Breath as the foundation of emotion
↳ 7 sounds mapped to 7 energy centres in the body
↳ How voice placement changes emotional meaning
↳ The difference between performing emotion and embodying it
What you’ll leave with:
↳ A practical vocal-emotional toolkit for performance
↳ Breath practices to access emotional states quickly
↳ A deeper connection to your body as an instrument
