We are honored to invite you to register to a very special evening on Tuesday, September 23rd at 6:00 PM, as we host an exclusive wine dinner devoted to The Mascot, one of Napa Valley’s most distinctive and compelling labels. This dinner will take place at Gvino Wine Bar and will be presented by Mollie Maisch, Director of The Mascot, who will guide us through the story, philosophy, and wines of this remarkable project.Founded by Will Harlan, The Mascot represents a unique expression of some of the most important vineyards in California. The wine is produced from the younger vines of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory, estates that are celebrated worldwide for their pedigree and power. What began as a private experiment, shared only among friends and family, was officially released in 2008, offering the public a glimpse into the development and future of these legendary vineyards.
Each vintage of The Mascot is made exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon, carefully assembled into a single expression and aged for five years before release. The result is a wine that captures both the youthful energy of the vines and the unmistakable identity of its parent estates.
The Harlan family’s winegrowing philosophy is rooted in the pursuit of purity and authenticity, taking inspiration from organic and biodynamic principles while moving beyond their constraints. They embrace the natural cycles of the land, allowing cover crops to grow and recede without intervention in order to preserve the vitality of the hillside soils and protect against erosion. This thoughtful stewardship shapes the unique personality found in every bottle of The Mascot.
For this special occasion, our culinary team has created a refined four-course menu designed to complement three vintages of The Mascot, beginning with a distinguished grower Champagne and concluding with a great Sauternes.

Mollie Maisch joined Domain H. William Harlan in 2011 and has since worked closely with the wines of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory. Today, as Director of The Mascot, she serves as the global spokesperson for the label, traveling worldwide to share its story and philosophy. Mollie brings a wealth of knowledge about the vineyards, their history, and their character, and we are delighted to welcome her for this intimate dinner.
