The Marriage Masterclass

This masterclass invites you on a thoughtful and practical journey into the purpose and principles of nikāḥ.

Throughout the session you will engage with what the Qurʾān and Ḥadīth teach us about the rights and responsibilities within marriage, as well as the qualities that bring beauty, steadiness and mercy into a relationship. You will reflect on what to look for in a partner, how to recognise good character and shared values, and how to build a relationship that feels safe, sincere and God-centred.

We will also spend time looking at the everyday realities of married life. This includes navigating relationships with in-laws, communicating with kindness, managing expectations and creating harmony within the home. You will have the chance to understand how Muslim communities have approached marriage over the last fourteen centuries, giving you a deeper sense of how rich and varied our tradition really is.

By the end of the masterclass you will feel more informed, more confident and more spiritually aware as you prepare for marriage or strengthen the marriage you already have.
