The Marketing Meetup IRL: Manchester

The Manchester Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Manchester to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂

We'll be heading to the lovely Forward Role offices to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time. Please look out for TMM signs on the night, which will point you to the right entrance for the venue! :)

Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.

Topic: From Self-Driving Robots to Self-Driving Marketing

Chris Burgess has spent 20 years building things that think for themselves, autonomous robots for the Ministry of Defence, AI platforms in China, and lately, figuring out how marketing teams can actually use this stuff day-to-day.

Turns out the logic behind robots (sense, decide, act) is the same logic powering tools like Perplexity, Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, and HeyGen. Chris will walk through what these tools can and can't do and share some workflows for handling the tasks you'd happily never touch again.

Expect demos, some prompting tips that have held up in practice, and a few things you might want to try yourself.

You'll leave with:

• A clear picture of what's out there and what matters
• Prompting techniques that get results
• Workflows you can copy-paste into your day
