Since our first event, we've brought together marketers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and business owners from across Edmonton to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and build meaningful connections.

To celebrate this milestone, we've put together an evening featuring interactive discussion, giveaways from our sponsors, hors d'oeuvres, a special drink menu, and a few surprises along the way.

This edition of The Marketing Brief focuses on Event Marketing, exploring how events build communities, create connections, strengthen brands, and drive business growth, from networking and entrepreneurship to festivals, food, and live entertainment.

Featuring Trystan Keller, Founder of Messed Up Mondays, and Alyssa Knoop, Marketing Manager, Festival & Live Entertainment at Explore Edmonton. Together, they bring two distinct perspectives on the industry, from building entrepreneurial communities to marketing large-scale festivals and live experiences.

Trystan brings insight from building Messed Up Mondays, Edmonton's largest entrepreneur community, and his experience in sales strategy and business growth. He'll share how events can create meaningful connections, build communities, and generate opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Alyssa brings experience marketing KDays and other live entertainment experiences, with a background spanning concerts, ticket sales, media partnerships, and promotions. She'll share what goes into creating campaigns that connect audiences with memorable experiences.

Through interactive discussion and audience participation, we'll explore what makes an event successful, how businesses can use events to grow and connect, and what makes people want to show up.
