CLASSIFICATION AND DEFINITION OF THE CLASSES (THE WORD ‘DOG’ DENOTES BOTH SEXES)

• Baby Puppy Class is confined to dogs over 4 and less than 6 months of age on the day of the Show. Dogs entered in this class are not eligible to challenge for the Green Star and may not take part in any further competition except Best Baby Puppy in Show.
• Minor Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 6 months and under the age of 9 months on the day of the Show.
• Puppy Class is confined to dogs over six and under twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth
• Junior Class is for dogs between 9 and 18 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth
• Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth
• Adult Class is for dogs between 24 and 36 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show
• Working Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the Show, who have awarded recognised Working Titles.
• Open Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
• Champion Class is for dogs who have gained the Title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under a recognised Kennel Authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries
• Veteran Class is for dogs over eight years of age on the first day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth
• Neuter Class, Male and Best Neuter Female can compete for Best Neuter in Breed, BUT they do not compete for the Green Stars and there is no Neuter Champion title
