Her work explores visibility, identity, memory, and belonging within Black and brown communities. Working between documentary storytelling and conceptual art, she creates projects that challenge dominant ways of seeing while inviting deeper forms of connection and understanding.
Invisible to Others is presented in conjunction with the Hampton History Museum’s efforts to uncover and share the history of the Virginia State School for the Blind and Multi-Disabled. In this presentation, The Making of Invisible to Others creates a conversation between past and present. Both projects seek to illuminate experiences that have too often existed outside of public memory, while exploring new ways for stories to be shared, preserved, and experienced.
