How do authors, illustrators and publishers create a picture book that comes alive in the hands of its readers?
About this Event

‘The best stories never end…They keep going on inside you.’ — Ursula Dubosarsky, March of the Ants

What’s involved in the making of a picture book? How do authors, illustrators and publishers work together to create a story with a distinct look and feel that comes alive in the hands of its readers? How do initial sketches develop into polished illustrations? Who can answer these questions and more? Ursula Dubosarsky, Tohby Riddle and Paul Macdonald — author, illustrator and publisher of March of the Arts — join curator Sarah Morley for an in-depth conversation about their creative processes in a special celebration of children’s literature. After the talk, visit the Imagine…the Wonder of Picture Books exhibition, to see some incredible picture books and artworks from the Library’s collection and beyond!
