Take a break from your day and spend a crisp fall afternoon around the Mahjong table. Whether you're learning for the first time or joining us for a few friendly games, The Mahjong Lunch Club is the perfect excuse to gather, connect, and play.

LEARN TO PLAY — $40
Ready to learn Mahjong? We’ve got you!
Join us for a fun, welcoming introduction to American Mahjong. Our Learn to Play session will walk you through the game step-by-step and give you the foundation you need to start playing with confidence.
During the session, you'll learn:
- The Mahjong tiles, suits, winds, dragons and flowers
- How to read and navigate the NMJL card
- How to set up the game
- The Charleston and how passing works
- How to build a winning hand
- Calling tiles and basic game etiquette
- The flow of play from beginning to end
No experience necessary! Come solo, bring a friend, or make it a girls' lunch — we'll provide everything you need to play.
OPEN PLAY — $25
Already know how to play? Your table is waiting.
Settle in for an afternoon of friendly American Mahjong, lunch, conversation, and community. Bring your regular crew or come on your own and meet new players — we'll help get you seated at a table.
Prerequisite: Open Play guests should be comfortable playing independently and familiar with the rules and flow of American Mahjong. Instruction is not included with Open Play.
