Are you interested in the power of comics and storytelling? Then this workshop is perfect for you!
According to the English syllabus: we refer to “multimodal texts as a combination of two or more communication modes.” Narrative is referred to as “a story of events or experiences, real or imagined.” Narrative theory “includes the story (what is narrated) and the discourse (how it is narrated)”[1]
Multimodal texts are part of our daily lives. Therefore, it is important for us to think critically about the power of storytelling as an all-encompassing model when teaching or creating.
You will discover the magic of a good yarn as the spoken word and drawn line come together. Learn how to capture smells, sounds and feelings in a story, and bring your own vivid memories to life using only your voice, pen and some paper.
Join this energetic visual and oral storytelling duo for a fun and interactive session.
This workshop is a professional learning session open to teachers, artists and adults. Tickets are per person.
