About the topic: Flowers have captivated the imagination of philosophers, artists, poets and scientists. Flowers seem delicate and ephemeral , yet they seem to embody profound truths of nature. Their petals often follow precise mathematical efficient patterns and transmit beauty . Many folklores speak of flowers as home to elemental spirits of nature or devas. Some speak of flower remedies for emotional and mental well being. While the cherry blossom in Japan remind us of impermanence, and to take life lightly, the lotus reminds us of dedication and perseverance towards the light. Come join us this Sunday afternoon as we look deeply into flowers and learn from them the art of blossoming towards the light.
What to expect -
· Myths and folklore around flowers - over floral tea!
· Meditative ikebana inspired floral arrangements.
· Philosophy of Bach flowers and making floral fragrances to take home.
To make the most of this event:
• Please be there by 1:45pm to meet other Aspiring Philosophers. Entries will be closed post 2.15 pm.
• Coffee/Tea and snacks will be available at the center.
• Volunteers from New Acropolis will be available to receive and help you. Please ask them all your questions!
• Walk-in registrations with ticket payment at the door is possible subjective to availability
