Join us for the Lowkey Conservatory! YES! This is our 8 week Improv program that covers the fundamentals to the most advanced skills of improv and everything in between! Here is the twist, no plans to perform for a live audience! This is the program for self development, team bonding and heaps of fun without the pressures of an end of program show!The program looks like this:
Week 1-2: The basics – a refresh or a new start to help you get a strong grasp of the foundations of improv. Get to know your team and develop a sturdy basis for improvised storytelling and comedy!
Week 3-4: Advanced techniques – Characters, forwarding, trust. Add more to your toolkit to create super watchable scenes!
Week 5-6: Improv forms – Explore long form and short forms of improv with your new found skills!
Week 7-8: Recap and refine – Luxuriate in your skills and enjoy creating on the spot with your new team.
Let our passionate and hard working instructor guide you through the ins and outs while having fun and feeling safe pushing your comfort levels!
This whole program is $350 and classes will be Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. Class will be in Central Nanaimo – Class space TBD. We are accepting a maximum of 8 students for this program so don’t delay!
Our first class will be Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 7pm.
