Wednesday Open Words is teaming up with Orlando Poetry Slam to present, The Love and Hate! In lieu of the usual open mic, poets will be allowed to compete for cash prizes and dubious glory. Enjoy from the audience or step behind the mic and share your truth. All poems must relate to love, and/or hate and it's interpretations.

List opens 8pm at the venue, Slam starts at 9pm!!
-3-5 random judges from the audience will score the poets from 0-10 based on content, form, originality, etc.
-You will need 2 poems to compete.
1st Round: 12 poets max,
5 highest scoring poets advance to 2nd Round. Highest scoring poet in the second round will be declared the winner.
-Content must be original. No props, no costumes or musical accompaniment.
3:10 minute time limit, full point deduction for every second over.
All rules subject to adjustment based on number of competitors and available judges, however all participants will be notified of any significant changes.
There will be an open mic after for those who wish to participate but not compete.
