Chris Beary will share his knowledge about the LMHE.
William Christopher ("Chris") Beary is a lifelong New Orleanian, social entrepreneur, and proud father of four. A CPA ( inactive) and Cum Laude graduate of Tulane Law School. Chris has devoted his life to building bridges between communities, causes, and culture - supporting the unhoused, preserving Louisiana's musical heritage, uplifting artists during the pandemic, and founding a Mardi Gras krewe rooted in inclusion and celebration.
The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience
(LMHE) is a forthcoming world-class museum dedicated to telling the story of Louisiana's unparalled musical legacy - from the rhythms of Congo Square to today's global influence born out of grassroots efforts to support local artists. LMHE will celebrate the state's cultural depth through immersive exhibits, dynamic performances, and educational programming - all designed to honor the musicians, traditions, and communities that make Louisiana the soul of American music.
Programs are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at LSU New Orleans Homer L. Hitt Alumni Center, 2000 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans.
We begin at 9:30 with coffee and pastry. The presentation begins at 10:00 and ends at 11.
Annual membership is $20 per person or a $5 donation for an event.
