About this Event

WHAT IS THE LOCAL LOOP?

The Local Loop exists to create, nurture, and elevate a community of local small businesses who prioritize sustainability and “closing the loop” in all product offerings. Our goal is to make it easy for people to make simple adjustments in their day-to-day buying behaviours to move towards a more circular economy.

THE EVENT:

Come and shop unique and ethically-sourced sustainable goods in a great space, enjoy a steady stream of live music by local artists while sipping on some locally brewed beer, and earn a chance to win a gorgeous gift basket of curated local goodies every time you spend $5 at a booth! Kiddos and doggies are welcome, and entry is FREE for all!

Also there will be no shortage of Dad jokes...

Father's Day is just a few weeks away and what better way to prepare than with some quality puns? Do your worst and enter a joke to be read during the musical interludes on market day to celebrate all the kings of the castles.

THE VENUE:

Brunswick Bierworks welcomes guests to a friendly and accommodating atmosphere. The taproom is 3500 sq. ft. of open-concept space featuring exposed wood beams and large windows that allows for views of the brewery. The venue is wheelchair accessible with accessible parking on-site.

Shannice Thomas: Silky smooth R&B vocals cascade against hip-hop, soul, gospel, and trip-hop infused beats. Shannice Thomas hailing from Pickering, Ontario is a standout talent amongst Toronto’s up and coming R&B/Soul performers. Taking time after her recent graduation from The Remix Project, Shannice has been hard at work developing & producing what will become her next set of releases.

Matt Mio: Fuzing classic rock, indie rock, and alternative rock together Matt Mio attempts to hit the refresh button on a genre thats lost its touch amongst a newer generation of rockers. Songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Matt has spent decades honing his various musical talents via a lengthy list of failed bands. Since January of 2022 Matt has begun to self-produce his debut album which is destined to turn heads amongst the Toronto music scene.

Jade Hilton: Heartfelt lyrics and emotive vocals have helped Jade Hilton evolve into her distinctive sound. The singer/songwriter fuses earthy folk melodies over lo-fi soundscapes. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on a full athletic scholarship, she moved back home to Toronto and began releasing music featuring her indie-folk style with R&B-pop production.
