The Living Room returns for January with something a little different. We're celebrating songwriting through an intimate evening with Daisy Chapman on vocals and piano, accompanied by Sue Lord on violin.Daisy's work draws comparisons to Nick Cave and Regina Spektor. Her voice sits above dramatic string arrangements and her own piano playing, described by some as Nymanesque. Three albums recorded by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gruff Rhys, Yard Act), with the most recent at Studio Nord in Bremen.
The Living Room offers a rare chance to hear intricate storytelling and soaring melodies in our upstairs space, where the proximity to the performers makes all the difference.
