The radically reimagined survival story of Ben and “they’re coming to get you” Barbra, inspired by the horror classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and the zombie apocalypse that has excited generations of horror fans for almost 60 years. The play responds to Romero’s subversive social and political portrait of turbulent late-1960s America.

Tickets and Timeline:

This performance will happen in an empty storefront in the shops at Chevy Chase Pavilion.

Attendees will be checked-in at the box office outside of the vacant storefront, which is located steps from the Friendship Heights Metro Station escalators. You do not need to bring a printed ticket to the gate: if you have purchased a ticket, your name will be on our registration list.

Attendees will receive an email the day before their scheduled performance with reminders and updates. Seating is provided.

Getting to the Performance:

We strongly encourage public transportation to get to Chevy Chase Pavilion. The Friendship Heights Metro Station escalators are mere feet from the performance space. Garage parking for a fee is also easily accessible. Chevy Chase Pavilion is next door to Trader Joe's.

Bikes may be locked just outside the building. There is limited street parking, but we advise visitors to closely read parking signs before finding a spot.

What to Know:

• There is no late seating, due to the immersive nature of the production. If you're late, we'll reschedule your tickets.
• There is no smoking permitted.
• The performance runs 85 minutes with no intermission.
• No onsite ticket sales (only advanced/online ticket sales).
• Adult content. Some content may be inappropriate for children.

ABOUT BOB BARTLETT

Bob Bartlett is a playwright, dramaturg and director known for producing site-specific work in unique locations throughout the Washington region and around the country. His recent plays include Mary Shelley’s Monsters, Lýkos Ánthrōpos, The Accident Bear, and Love and Vinyl. A three-time O’Neill finalist, Bartlett is an affiliated artist with the National New Play Network, artist-in-residence at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and a member of The Dramatists Guild of America. He earned an MFA in Playwriting from Catholic University of America.

this is me a couple of weeks ago on a creepy research trip to Evans City Cemetery just north of Pittsburgh, and the exact spot where the terrfying opening scene of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD was filmed in 1968!
