Portals to Poetry is proud to present our newest series: THE LIT. LOUNGE
A monthly co-working lounge for creatives, storytellers, and visionaries to gather, work, and build community.
Inspired by A’lelia Walker’s Dark Tower of the Harlem Renaissance, this lounge is designed to be a safe and generative space that welcomes creative freedom and encourages collective exchange.
EXPECT:
- A vibrant community of Black and Brown Queer artists, storytellers, and entrepreneurs
- A comfortable and creative environment to work independently or collaboratively
- Creative workshops and collective discussions
- Live DJ sets and jam sessions by featured musicians
- Food and drinks available for purchase
WHEN: Saturday, Feb 21st from 1:00-4:00PM (Please arrive on time to get the most out of this experience)
WHERE: In-Person at The Living Room DTLA (1041 S Main St, Door 123)
HOW: Purchase your tickets here! To make this as accessible as possible while sustaining our business and operational costs, we're offering a sliding scale entry of ($10, $15, and $20).
We are also offering a monthly membership of $30 for those who are seeking additional benefits. This is customizable based on need, but generally comes with:
- 1 guest pass (perfect for a client or collaborator)
- 10% off food and drinks
- 20% off venue bookings
- Opportunities to pitch and promote your work
If you can no longer attend, please communicate your availbility ahead of time and share this someone who would benefit from this space.
Tickets are non-refundable as all proceeds go towards covering our costs for operations, refreshements, and staff.
