About this Event
After a magical and successful unfolding of one year of The Listening Circle, we are back with winter series 2025. The first year of TLC was embarced by 100's of diverse voices sharing poetry, songs and music honoring personal journeys of healing and self-discovery. The community came together with deliberate intentions of co creating a safe space for radical vulneribility, deep listening and creative expression.
This winter series 2025 is an invitation to the spoken word artists, poets, storytellers, songwriters, acoustic musicians and listeners to come join us in yet another whimsical and creative season.
Sign up starts at 4:30 pm and readings/ performances at 5:00 to 6:30pm. Spots are limited. Pre registration is required.
Please note this is a substance free space.

My experience with the Listening Circle has been quite an expansive process. Syra as a facilitator is just amazing with her sense of being while holding space for the group. She made it such a safe environment for me to explore and access parts of me that I didn't think I could. My performance have become better and this experience of beauty and grace, I will take with me in my growth journey. Thank you. I look forward to more adventures to come.

The Listening Circle by Banyen Books led by Syra had been absolutely life changing. The space is incredibly welcoming, unconditionally accepting and utterly up-lifting. It has been a privilege to attend and participate in the circle and meet all the wonderful humans who have attended. I have grown immensely as a person and as an artist. I am so grateful for the space to share my work. I am excitedly looking forward to more events to come.
