About this Event
The Lincoln University Sport and Recreation Forum
Join us to celebrate the sport and recreation sector. You will hear from experts in the field, Lincoln academics, and students about their research.
This is a free event, open to sport and recreation sector professionals, Lincoln University students and staff, and anyone interested in the area.
This years keynote speakers will be Raelene Castle (Sport NZ) and Sarah Murray (Recreation Aotearoa).
Raelene and Sarah will focus on this years theme, 'Reimagining Sport and Recreation' and explore how the future trends will shape the sector locally, nationally and internationally.
This will be followed by senior lecturer Trudie Walters who will discuss her research on participation at the Special Olympics Great Britain.
In a new addition to the Sport and Recreation Forum, this year we will host a quickfire postgraduate research competition. Students will present their research in under three minutes and the audience will be invited to vote for their winner.
Finally a short panel discussion will allow the speakers to answer questions and consider how they relate to their particular context.
Afterwards, there is an opportunity for sector professionals, LU staff and students to network over afternoon tea.
Please RSVP using Eventbrite by October 5th.
