Lily Daoud (voice) and Jordan Stitt (piano) are musicians from the vibrant Brisbane/Meanjin jazz scene who have been performing together for nearly a decade. Drawing on both traditional and contemporary influences, their collaboration centers on musical conversation, where voice and piano move fluidly between tradition, improvisation, and personal expression.
Known for their sensitive musical interplay and deep respect for the jazz lineage, the duo brings an intimate, storytelling approach to the repertoire, allowing space for spontaneity, lyricism, deep listening, and joy. They regularly perform in Brisbane’s thriving jazz community and host Cut Time Jazz Sessions every Friday at The Burrow in West End, where professional musicians gather to explore jazz standards, modern tunes, and spontaneous improvisation in a collaborative setting.
Lily is a vocalist, educator, and multidisciplinary artist who holds degrees in music, jazz performance, and drama, and is currently completing a Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy. Jordan holds degrees in both film and jazz performance and is an in-demand pianist within the Brisbane jazz community, admired for his lyrical playing and nuanced accompaniment.
Together they present a thoughtful and engaging selection of jazz standards and modern repertoire for Ruby Jazz Club, celebrating the tradition of the voice–piano duo while bringing their own evolving musical perspective to the stage.
Entry is free, no booking needed, but if you enjoy the show, feel free to tip the musicians. Tasty bites are available, and the bar features local and international wines, classic cocktails, fine spirits, and a deep bourbon collection worthy of New Orleans.

Step inside from 6:30 pm. The music begins at 7:30 pm. Venue closes at 11.30pm.
Seating is unreserved and claimed by those who arrive first — the early ones always find the best vantage point.
Food and small plates will be available throughout the evening, and the bar will be flowing with local and international wines, classic cocktails, fine spirits, and a deep collection of bourbons worthy of New Orleans itself.
