Join us as we explore some new interpretations of familiar melodies and unheard compositions! The trio will play original arrangements of favourite tunes as well as come brand new original songs. Expect mysterious ballads, soulful blues, and exhilarating bop. The Lighthouse Trio is made up of three of Wellington's busiest players; Alex Trask, Jeremy Grant, and Elijah Mulheron. Alex is a highly regarded alto saxophonist who is seen all around town leading bands and playing for some of the leading musical organisations, including the RNZAF band and formerly the Rodger Fox Big Band. Elijah is the busiest bassist in town and often appears with Wellington legends such as Callum Allardice and John Rae. Jeremy is an extremely captivating guitarist and the creative force behind the arrangements you will hear.
The trio is celebrating the release of their debut EP with a tour of their own backyard, playing for the first time in Pito-one and Raumati, and finishing with a gig in central Wellington. Come along for an evening of fresh music presented in a relaxed setting, we hope to see you there!
