About this Event
Trees are essential for all life on Earth. They are among the largest and longest living organisms here. Join two quirky bugs, a ladybug called Dolores and a firefly called Mike as they explore the fascinating world of trees, traveling through lovely leafy landscapes. To grow tall, the tree has become a miracle of engineering and a complex chemical factory. By means of photosynthesis the leaves combine the water and salts with carbon dioxide from the air to produce the nutrients which feed the tree. Trees even remove carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas, from our air. Bring the whole family for this fun and educational frolic through the forest!
Program length is one hour and is recommended for ages 6-10.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before show time, because late arrivals may not be seated for safety reasons in our darkened planetarium.
If you are not already familiar with the location of the planetarium, please be sure to understand our location using the map here on Eventbrite or here: Planetarium location in Google Maps For our public programs, you will be able to park in the I-37 parking lot off of Iroquois Drive directly next to Buffalo State University's Science and Math Complex which houses the planetarium.
