Harvey B. Lester was born February 27, 1902, in West Plains, MO. He met Opal LuMeart in 1922 while attending an "Old Fashioned Singing School;" Opal played the pump organ at Dry Bayou Baptist Church in Hayti, MO. Harvey & Opal married and moved to St. Louis where they began The Lester Family gospel music ministry in 1925.Simply put, we love music. . . and we love introducing others to Jesus Christ through our music and personal ministry. It’s a passion that began with our grandparents, Harvey and Opal Lester, in 1925. And it’s one that has endured to the third, fourth and fifth generations.
