The Last Word: Overtown Stories is a living oral history project that celebrates the voice, memories and legacy of Historic Overtown.About this Event
Through a series of filmed community conversations and art installations, residents and storytellers share their reflections on the neighborhood's past, present and future. Each story will be accessible through QR-coded benches placed throughout Overtown, offering visitors a chane to listen, learn and connect with the people that helped shape the community.
The series will include an art installation launch during Miami Art Week, featuring the students from Booker T Washington Senior High School.
