Sit back and enjoy dinner and drinks while Heather Price, Terence Koo and Ben Barnes bring you 2 fantastic sets of their jazz trio sounds.
Heather Price is renowned for her incredible voice and accompanying double bass playing. She has performed around Australia with professional orchestras such as Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and has toured nationally and internationally with various classical, jazz and pop ensembles including Kate Ceberano, The Dungeon Big Band and more.
Terence Koo is an Australian jazz pianist, composer, educator, and recording artist. Terence has released three feature albums (Pieces of Rain, Lunacity, and disCOVERies), and been a session musician on many others. He regularly tours nationally and internationally, playing both solo and with different bands.
Ben Barnes has been drumming for jazz acts in Newcastle and beyond for 30 years. Performing with acts such as The Dungeon Big Band, Sax Blue, Half Nelson, Heather Price and many more, Ben is renowned for his tasteful playing and great grooves.
When Heather and Terence come together to play there is an element of magic in the room, and they are bringing this magic to Saturday nights at The Grand Underground. You will love listening to their jazz versions of well-known tunes mixed in with some of the great jazz standards.
