About this Event
Allison Agsten, inaugural Director of USC Annenberg’s Center for Climate Journalism and Communication will discuss the evolving landscape of climate communication with. As a leader in climate discourse, Agsten will delve into the pressing issues of how media and strategic initiatives are shaping public understanding of climate change. She will discuss her work as executive producer of the energy transition podcast series, Electric Futures, and her role as the primary author of a report on the state of climate communications in the U.S.
Agsten was recently named one of COP28 UAE’s 50 inaugural global Actionists in recognition of her contributions to climate communication. With a background in journalism and public engagement—having held roles at CNN, LACMA, and the Hammer Museum—Agsten brings a wealth of experience to the conversation on how storytelling and communication can drive meaningful action on climate change.
