The Lady in the Van

In 1974, when the eccentric and dishevelled Miss Shepherd parked her dilapidated van in Alan Bennett’s garden, neither expected her to stay for 15 years– or for the most unlikely of friendships to blossom.
Based on an extraordinary true story, The Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett is a heartwarming and wonderfully funny tale that finds humour and humanity in the most unexpected places.
“A beautiful, funny and deeply moving play”

Presented by Company Theatre
Directed by Sian Davis
