Two Nights At The Rialto W/ The Labra Brothers! The Labra Brothers
A Labra Brothers event is an adrenaline anchor performance that includes high-energy Latin percussion, funky rhythms, sax and smooth, bilingual vocal harmonies. Their familial title is rooted in the fact that they are indeed made up mostly of brothers. The Labra Brothers have established themselves regionally, not only as the standard within their core genre of Latin Funk & Soul, but also as a dynamic and diverse powerhouse of musical presentation, the essence of which is a unique fusion of Latin rhythms with more contemporary Funk and Soul music. Some of their more notable recent engagements include opening roles for Los Lobos, Tony Succar, and Average White Band, in addition to a collaborative concert with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. In 2022, they were voted "Best Latin" by the Cleveland Music Awards. This was followed by their recognition as "Best Latin Fusion Band" by Cleveland Magazine in 2023.
Marc Lee Shannon and the MOB Trio
Marc Lee Shannon is a Northeast Ohio singer-songwriter and author with years of baked-in Rust Belt “fall down, get up, dust off, and do it again” grit and determination. A champion of every day heroes, his soulful, melodic music chronicles the struggles and redemption of the lost, the found, the deserted, and the delivered.
As a veteran studio and touring guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Shannon’s over 30-year career has taken him from his hometown of Akron, Ohio, to Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and back again. A friend connected him with Northeast Ohio’s favorite son, Michael Stanley, sparking a musical partnership, decades-long mentorship and friendship with Michael's band, The Resonators. There, he was a featured instrumentalist, vocalist, and co-writer, appearing on 23 releases in the 25 years of his tenure until Stanley's passing in 2021.
He has released four solo albums and multiple singles, and vows to keep working. In a recent interview, he said he would “never quit no matter what” but rather “just stay standing and keep creating.”
His 2024 release, Marc Lee Shannon and My Other Brothers is now available on all streaming platforms, as well as his website, marcleeshanon.com.
Rounding out the trio for the evening will be Michael Weber (The Michael Weber Show) and Kurt Anshutz (Easton Union)
