Teresa Willis' THE L IN LOUISVILLE is a sharp, funny new play about queer friendship, messy love, and the strange ways family finds its way back together. Set across Louisville neighborhoods over one hot summer and an unseasonably warm New Year’s Eve, the story follows a tight-knit circle of middle-aged lesbians navigating exes, new partners, old wounds, and a lot of opinions about dogs.

When Kate reconnects with her newly sober nephew after years of family estrangement, ripples spread through the group: backyard confrontations, chaotic dinner parties, bourbon-fueled storytelling, and long-buried secrets all collide. As the night spins hilariously off the rails, loyalties are tested and forgiveness proves harder—and funnier—than anyone expected.
