The Koreatown Oddity X Qur'an Shaheed X Fellowship Records | Trip 21
About this Event
The next descent begins.
Trip 21 brings together three artists whose work exists somewhere between underground hip-hop, experimental sound, and sonic collage. Music that bends genre, rewards deep listening, and feels perfectly at home inside the towering acoustics of our historic grain silos.
Built within a 100+ year-old former bread factory in Logan Heights, The Silo Room has become known for immersive listening experiences, underground programming, and performances that blur the line between concert, ritual, and installation. With only 100 guests admitted to each Trip, every performance remains intimate, intentional, and unlike anything else in Southern California.
Leading the evening is The Koreatown Oddity, whose fearless approach to hip-hop combines surreal storytelling, cinematic production, and sharp social commentary into a sound entirely his own.
Joining the evening is Qur'an Shaheed, an experimental pianist, poet, singer, and composer whose work moves effortlessly between jazz, neo-classical, neo-soul, and improvisation. Her deeply personal performances blur the boundaries between composition and spontaneous creation, creating music that is both emotionally intimate and sonically adventurous.
Weaving us through the night is Fellowship Records, setting the atmosphere with a carefully curated journey through adventurous sounds that prepare the room for what follows.
Whether you're discovering these artists for the first time or have followed their work for years, Trip 21 promises another unforgettable night inside San Diego's most unique listening room.

Qur'an Shaheed is an experimental pianist, poet, singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. Trained extensively in jazz, classical and contemporary music, her sound is innovative and personal, incorporating elements of improvisation as well as neo-classical and neo-soul techniques. Shaheed also composes film scores, focusing on projects that reflect on society, history and unifying acts. Following her EP Process on Preference Records, Shaheed has graced us with her debut full length album, Pulse, that “revels in the space between craftsmanship and creativity, bucking structure for improvisational freedom without sacrificing stylistic command” (Resident Advisor). Pulse was released in summer 2025 through Leaving Records and was featured in New York Times, BBC, UNCUT, and more.
