This season, Kanakavalli Bengaluru presents The Kasuti Kanjivaram, bringing together two distinct and ancient crafts: the classic kanjivaram weave and the folk hand embroidery tradition of kasuti. This union creates an intriguing new language within the bold framework of the drape, combining the delicacy of kasuti embroidery with the dramatic beauty of the queen of silks.
Traditional elements of the kanjivaram, including temple borders and the craft's distinctive checks and stripes, are beautifully complemented by the delicate kasuti embroidery; the jewel tones perfectly accented by the vivid silken yarn.
