Fast becoming an annual sell-out tradition, this night is one for the diary. Imagine the OneTouch Theatre converted into an intimate club, filled with music and dancing. Two DJs playing a 4-deck set with live musicians, dancers and immersive visuals.
The Karawane Takeover has a carnival feel, with a fast-moving, ever changing soundscape as the Karawane DJs move from pulsing Brazilian samba to brassy Nigerian afrobeat, Colombian salsa to the deep dancefloor sounds from South Africa to NYC. Dancers, percussionists and performers are on stage and all around you, and the vibe is joyous and carefree.
This year we have some very special guests! MC Einstein, hailing from Zimbabwe, will be lifting the crowd with his rich energy on the microphone. On brass, Maren Amira is a boundary-pushing musician and composer, moving seamlessly between saxophone, Arabic and Turkish ney flutes, and electronic production, to blend jazz, Middle Eastern music, and cutting-edge club culture. They will be accompanied by the Karawane drums on djembes and conga, to create a deep dancefloor experience.
This is a one-of-a-kind experience in Inverness, and not to be missed! All aged 16+ are welcome, no dress code, and expect to dance!
